How do I sign up for classes at Schola?

Tickets to all of our classes and dinners are purchased through Eventbrite.com unless you are redeeming a gift certificate. If you'd like to redeem a gift certificate, you can call or email us directly to reserve a spot in the class.

I have certain food allergies or dietary concerns. Can I still take certain classes?

Of course! Please email us when you purchase a ticket for any class on Eventbrite.com and let us know your needs. We will be happy to accommodate them during any class you'd like to take.

Can I purchase Gift Certificates for classes at Schola?

Yes! You can stop in and purchase one from us directly, or through our website here: Gift Certificate

How do I redeem my Gift Certificate?

Email us to sign up for the class you'd like to take. Please bring the gift certificate with you to the class. Even though you might have been given a gift certificate to a certain series of classes, they are all interchangeable and redeemable for any class or merchandise offered a Schola for the certificate's face value.

What should I wear to a class?

Since you'll be standing a lot, preparing food and moving about the kitchen we recommend you dress comfortably and avoid any loose fitting clothing. We'll provide you with an apron while you work and we frown on open toed shoes in the kitchen.

Where can I park when I come to Schola?t

There is usually plenty of Street Parking on North Charles Street. The meters run until 6pm daily, but be careful! You can't park on the east side of Charles during the week any time between 4pm and 6pm! Also, there are a few parking lots - one behind Schola you can access from Cathedral Street and one on the left side of Charles Street just past Eager street. There is also a parking garage past Eager Street on Charles Street associated with the Belvedere Hotel on the right. 

Do you serve alcohol at Schola?

We do not serve alcohol but encourage you to bring a bottle or two of something to enjoy while we cook. We'll have lots of  stemware, ice available. Except, of course, for the wine tasting classes. For those, the wines will be provided.

What is your cancellation policy?

We can't offer refunds to classes because our seating is very limited. But, if you can't make a class, you can send a friend in your place. Please email us at least six hours before the class starts and let us know who will be taking your place.

Will I get the recipes for what we've created during class?

Yes! You'll get an email from us a day or two after class with the recipes attached. They are for you to use at home when you go to recreate each dish.

Do we host private cooking classes at Schola?

Yes! We often do everything from baby and bridal showers to corporate team building classes and themed dinners. Email us and we can work with you to get your event on our calendar and plan the perfect class.

Can I bring my child to class?

We love having children join us in the kitchen but remember, we will be using knives and cooking over a very hot stove. If you feel your child is comfortable in that setting and can work safely then please feel free to sign them up.

How long are the classes?

Classes routinely run between 2.5 and 3 hours in length. Of course, we often stay a little later to finish things up and you are welcome to join us.

Is it customary to tip the Chef and Staff?

No. The price of your ticket is inclusive but you can show your appreciation by following us on facebook, recomending us to your friends and coming back and taking another one of our classes!
